  1. Hey Cal, Great publicity the blog is getting right now. Great way to build up your profile in the city in case you decide to run for municipal politics sometime down the line...nudge, nudge, wink, wink........

Interesting thing about the article is where they say Di Ianni agrees that "we can never get enough public engagement." If that's so then why is it that when you go over to Di Ianni's blog he doesn't give the reader there the option of responding to it like you do over here with your blog???

Something for Di Ianni to think about.

    Best Regards!

    Rick Cordeiro

  3. I already seen this story verbatim in the Stoney Creek News.
What's next, the Ancaster News? At least update the hits, EH?

Our Hamiltonian also appeared [here] a couple days ago.
    I couldn't resist the [temptation].

  5. MountainBoy: Welcome.

I need to clarify a few things. The reporter in the room was at the back of the room, and I was misquoted in one instance.

What I said to Clr Mitchell was "Dave. I am embarassed for you. Your conduct is not professional"

This was on the heals of him calling several Hamiltonians "Looney tunes".

His subsequent forced apology was an afterthought and does not excuse his unacceptable and unprofessional conduct.

I also had to remind Mr. Mitchell that he represents only one vote and that in a democracy, he was sounding like a dictator.

He was also taunting me to "sue him".

There were many more troubling aspects of his behavior, which I will address in due course.

For the record, my councillor is Maria Pearson, who, in my view has failed miserably on this issue.

I am a calm and reasoned man, but I will not put up with politicians calling Hamiltonians "looney tunes" or demonstrating other offensive behaviour.

Mayor Eisenberger needs to deliver quickly on the Integrity Commissioner. Obviously, conduct by some councillors cannot be kept in check otherwise.

  6. I am pleased as punch that Mr. DiFalco is not
afraid to put on the gloves when necessary.
This is the essence of a true champion.

    Thanks for sharing Mountainboy.

  7. My first time posting a comment anywhere. This is my second time logging on to the "Hamiltonian" and I must say I'm really impressed this site. What a terrific way to voice an opinion. Judging by the number of hits to your site, citizens are taking this seriously. I am equally impressed with the passion that you have for the city of Hamilton. After reading some of the comments, I must agree, the elections are coming in Nov 2010, as one commenter said "nudge nudge wink wink". Finally someone I can trust.
