Kangaroo Court

Surprisingly., Hamilton city council  allowed the discussion of this allegation openly ( click here) , in absence of an investigation.

McCarthy, Clark, Bratina and Pasuta were the only ones opposed to discussing the matter in open council.

  1. I am watching it live. Amateurs. What are they thinking? I see a lawsuit coming that we will pay for.

  3. The allegations are so explosive and are based on fact. How can the City Manager and Council and Department Heads deflect this one? The culture of deceit and misrepresentation and fake "restructurings" end up costing taxpayers huge amounts and poisons the environment. Council appears to be asleep at the switch. Hamilton now has its own Watergate!

There is something very seriously wrong in this city and there seems to be no end in sight.

How can we trust anything anymore?

Mr Khan is a hero in my books, an honest person, that cares. Too bad the slime have tried to block his requests to appear before council.

Does anybody seriously think, that heads will roll over this? or will they hide it, like they hide everything else?

  6. It will be buried, just like the other abuses over the years that were buried. Sure, someone might loose their job, yeah, the path to the life of ease and luxury, with huge payouts and giant severance packages - which is only slightly short of scoring large on Lotto MAX...

  7. Somehow they will bury it like they did with the Downtown Renewal department.

Just think, this is the thin end of the wedge. I have no doubt that there is plenty of truth behind this.

Unfortunately, I think City Hall will spin doctor the whole thing like they have done in the past with similar acquisations..........downtown renewal. They'll shoot the messanger, I've noticed Larry DiIanni is already running to Harnum's support on his blog and insinuating that Khan is a former disgruntled employee. I take the comments with a grain of salt given his track record.

I admire Mr. Kahn for coming forward. I'm sure he will face some sort of legal action. What he has done has taken extreme courage and perhaps jeopardized his future financially. He seems very principled in his actions though.

I've seen it first hand at City Hall but can't bring myself to risk my future livelihood. I have so much respect for Mr. Kahn.
