The Race is On!

Mahesh Butani has thrown in his hat for the Mayoral race. The only other contender at the moment, is Michael Baldaserro. I am assuming that Mayor Eisenberger will, at some point, confirm he is running. Looks like we  may have ourselves a good race. To see Mahesh's responses to a previous 10 Tough Questions interview, click here.

Your thoughts?

  3. New blood? You mean an OUTSIDER educated in the arts... who understands sociology, architectural design, real estate development, urban design, communications with an arts degree... I like it already. Proof is in the pudding.

  4. As you know, anonymous users are welcomed, but , if you are comfortable, please use your name. When lending or not lending suppoort to a candidate or potential candidate, it always resonates differently and carries more weight when a name is attached. I'm not making this a rule, but a suggestion. Thank-you

  5. Mr. DiFalco its time you throw your hat into the Mayoral race. There is no one better to run our City. Your intellegence, integerity, and commitment to the people of Hamilton are second to none. We want someone who can be the voice of Hamilton and that is you. Hamiltonians would be proud to call you Mayor DiFalco!!!

    Best wishes to Mr. Maheshi.
I hope that he and all others running for office in this election realise that there is an opportunity to change the local political culture for the better in the upcoming campaign and its aftermath.

  7. Mahesh said, "Change in itself has seldom been able to deliver an altered state that we all seek in Hamilton. In order to move past ´default growth´ and morph into a self-determined community that triggers true economic growth and prosperity - our understanding of ´time´ needs a radical overhaul."

Cal said, "Hi folks. I think we've exhausted the Perspectives thread. I'm glad that it triggered some relevant discussion and would have preferred that it stayed on topic. As this thread is taking a bit of a twisted path and now seems to have veered off, we are closing it off to further comments."

Both Mahesh and Cal used a form of the root word "trigger" as IT relates to economic growth and prosperity and relevant discussion. The problem would seem that when we get too close to the root causes of that which affects social justice, we find ourselves entering into an "altered state" on a "twisted path" veering off-topic. This is simply not true.

What is actually happening is our civilization and social justice has already been on a twisted path in an altered state for decades and whenever we try to turn that around, IT just doesn't appear normal or politically correct and so to prevent us from squeezing the trigger and firing off those magic bullets our mainstream media or in this case, the Hamiltonian Admin, close these topics off to further discussion. Code red will then morph back to yellow again.

Both Cal and Mahesh would make ideal candidates for a mayoral run. I also believe that Mike, with his propensity to achieve an altered state, would help Hamilton achieve a self-determined radical overhaul. I think IT is about "the times" too, don't you?

This should be a most interesting election year. I am looking forward to the more colourful debates here.

    The race is on,
    Cheers

To that, I'll raise my hot black X-large to Elvis P. and say "Hey, let's not look on the brighter side, just let IT reign!!!

    You have been my heaven
    I have been your hell
    And there are many secrets
    That we will never tell
    And sometimes when I wander
    Far away from here
    I can hear the thunder
    Screaming in my ears

    Let It Rain...

  13. The meaning of the name Mahesh is "Great Ruler".
Indeed, if we elect him as our Mayor, he will be a great ruler.
And that is not because others before him, and contenders today, are totally bereft of skills and abilities.
No, I believe it is because this man has VISION.
He can also think "out of the box" and clobber together deals to get things done. He is not all talk.
Mahesh will draw a following that will get stronger once the debates begin and voters see the calibre relative to the others.
