100,000 reasons.....
The Hamiltonian has reached a milestone, achieving 100,000 hits. That's 100,000 times that pages have been viewed. 100,000 times that a Hamiltonian had cause to become interested in something being discussed on this blog. 100,000 incidences of engagement.
On we go...... let's shoot for 1/4 million. :-)
Thanks to each of you and to my team here at The Hamitonian.

Congratulations Mr. DiFalco. This tells the residents of Hamilton that you have made living in Hamilton all worth while. Your giving us the residents of Hamilton, a chance to voice our concerns and be heard. Now Mr. DiFalco all Hamilton needs is for you to become our Mayor! Then Hamilton WOULD become "The Best Place To Raise A Child."
ReplyDeleteYour a class act Cal.

Congratulations Cal. This is really a great space.
ReplyDeleteGood work Cal. We need to get the word out about this blog to attract more viewers and commentators.
ReplyDeleteMr. DiFalco. I have been reading your blog almost every day. Keep up the great work. It has gone viral.

Thanks all. Tom- I agree with you in terms of getting the word out to more people.
ReplyDeleteYou'll note that I have resisted including banner ads on The Hamiltonian. Sites sometimes include such ads to generate income, which can be used to advertise. I don't plan on doing that.
Thus, I encourage people to pass the word on, link to the site, send emails to others on topics that appear on this blog, bookmark it, etc. I have also been very fortunate to have media coverage.
So, if people could spread the word, (and I know they already have been doing so) I would very much appreciate it.
Cal
Cal, congratulations!
ReplyDeleteHowever, this blog needs to move to the next level.
1. Stop the hijacking and deviations that let bloggers move the discussion away from the hot topic at hand.
2. Keep everything short and simple. No longggggggg questions and longgggggggg answers.
3. If a topic is getting mileage, don't introduce a new one and mariginalize the hot topic.
4. Controversy is good. Don't stay away from certain issues. For instance, something as hot as the physical abuse of the Burmese refugee. That should have been featured on your blog and it would have generated much traffic.
5. Focus on the news people don't get from reading the Spectator. Get scoops about scandals and shennanigans at city hall and post them on your blog. Actively invite whistle blowers to share their news and give them anonymity.
Good luck
