In a press release issued by Ward 10 contender Jose Pablo Bustamante, (see it on ImPressed), Mr. Bustamante advises that an adjournment was granted by the presiding judge. The next court date is on November 17th. Mr. Bustamante reports that Ms. Pearson did not appear in court today, but was represented by Jeffrey R. Manishen who, according to Mr. Bustamante's press release, is a criminal lawyer.

It appears that Maria Peason may have something to hide. If she were doesn't, she should have been in court today. Red flags are up for me.

This is just another below the belt tactic by Mr. Bustamante to get us to think he is a worthy of being a Hamilton City Councilor. If you look at his press release he highlights that Ms. Pearson has a criminal lawyer representing her. Duh Jose, you are alleging a criminal act. Who should she have represent her a real estate lawyer? You should also be wise enough to know that the Canadian Charter or Rights ensures an accused the right to a fair trial and not be railroaded into a trial until fully prepared to do like you tried to do to her. I am sure if you were on the other end and had to defend yourself of a criminal charge you would be doing your utmost to be sure you get a fair trial. Will you be using these types of innuendos against other councilors if elected. The voters are trying to clear council of dysfunctional members not add another one. Maybe once you have lost the election you can get a job at TMZ or the National Enquirer since you seem to have a flair for sensationalism. You must realize the comments of praise posted here for you carry no weight since the posters do not have the courage to post their full name. Maybe they are actually ashamed of your action but are friends doing it as a favour to you. To get some credibility have some supporters brave enough to post their full name praise you for this sensationalism and attempt to railroad justice.
ReplyDeleteAs a candidate for Ward 10. I am one of Maria's biggest critics, but even I think that this is a lost cause and unnecessary. Let's all play fair and clean and may the best candidate win.
