FYI

It has been brought to our attention that some words in peoples posts are automatically being hyper-linked to pages that the person did not intend. This is not a function of The Hamiltonian blog, but may be a function of the particular browser you are using. We have not gone commercial ;-)

  1. it's malware installed on the users computer. A free program called SPYBOT S & D (search and destroy) will root out this malcontent programs that were never meant to be installed and delete them.

  2. After doing a search on Google, I found that it is an ad tool for Firefox and called "Text enhancement". How it works is your browser takes a word out of a text and change the colour and double underline it. When your cursor goes over it a pop up add shows up. if you want that to prevent pesky ads to happen you need to download a "ad blocker" for your specific browser.
