  1. Very concerning...

    I am by no stretch an accountant yet as a busineess owner my accountant would not accept my entries that way...

    At the very least ~
    Line 1) Renovations/Repairs/Maintenance
    Line 2) Additions/New build***shows an increase in value for the property***
    Line 3) MANAGEMENT FEES

    Line 1 and 2 could be a stretch to be bundled together to some degree...(my accountant would not accept that but, maybe it is different with the City?)

    Line 3) Would never pass ~ and it should not in any way shape or form...

    ***When there is a new building, should that not be considered an asset of some sort? How else does one keep track on what buildings they own and how to schedule maintenance etc?

    This entire oredeal is very concerning and I hope that ALL of our Councillors are asking very tough questions!

    Have a great day everyone.

    Danya:

    The problem is that all the councillors are not asking very tough questions. And there is a reason for that. And all of them, with the exception of Bratina, are going to wear this.

      Councillor Clark stated the following in a Spectator Article by Emma Reilly November 14, 2011;

      When I first heard there was almost a $1-million deficit, I kind of had a shudder go down my spine in terms of what’s happening here,” said Councillor Brad Clark. “When you actually go through the financial documents,there was a greater level of comfort for me.”

      Perhaps Councillor Clark could share the financial documents so that we the taxpayers may have the same comfort.
