No obligatory training ordered on human sensitivity? Management training? Communication skills?
ReplyDelete"No obligatory training ordered on human sensitivity? Management training? Communication skills?"
ReplyDeleteWho did the hiring on this employee, anyway? Can we get them in here for a little talk? See if the employee's performance matches up with the (presumably) extensive screening process that was undertaken...?
My StoneyCreek. I am curious. Who would you have voted for last election for Mayor or who would you have wanted to run?
ReplyDeleteSevern
I did vote in the last election. I voted a 'spoiler/protest' vote, though the candidate would not take my advice on how he could have tremendously impacted the election, the general arena, how he could have raised up up the level of debate, actually got people thinking. This failure on my part actually saddened me more than the eventual result. (Laughing while shaking my head.)
ReplyDeleteWho would I have wanted to have run? Hmm... I never opine about stuff I don't feel qualified to, so I'll be honest and say "I really don't know."
I'm not sure who was available at the time I would have wanted to have run...but I do know that we aren't doing the process any favours (or showing it much respect) when we have almost a dozen-and-a-half candidates running (I just had a Freudian slip and typed 'funning'!) for mayor, and twenty in Ward 2 (where the 'winner' captured less than 21% of the ballots cast.) We need to honour the process a lot more by having 'run-offs' or 'primaries'. And consider something other than 'first-past-the-post' as our model for deciding a victor.
