COLTON’S JULY FAMILY DAY FUNDRAISER

4 Year Old volunteer raises money for Ewing Sarcoma Cancer Foundation of Canada

HAMILTON – Hamilton’s favourite four-year-old volunteer, Colton is planning his next volunteer campaign and invites everyone to get involved.

With help from his mother, Carla Hodge, Colton is planning a Family Day with the proceeds going to support Ewing's Sarcoma Cancer Foundation Of Canada. Ewing Sarcoma is a rare childhood cancer, which can occur at any age but is most common in early teen years and males. This is a cause close to Colton’s heart, as one of his cousins is a survivor of Ewing Sarcoma Cancer.

“We try to volunteer or help out in any way every couple of months and as I began to think about what would be our next endeavor, Ewing Sarcoma would not leave my head,” says Hodge. “Colton’s cousin was diagnosed a couple years back and thank goodness he is doing well today.”

“Unfortunately others have not been able to beat this disease,” says Hodge.
