Sad News

Independent journalist Joey Coleman has announced that he could no longer continue his site, The Public Record. In an article, (click here to read it), he refers to the site's operations being suspended and cites his reasons.

The Hamiltonian sees this as a sad day for news reporting in Hamilton. Mr. Coleman's passion and commitment stood as an example for others and bettered Hamilton's landscape in terms of news, and contemporary ways to report the news.

We wish Joey well and hope to see him back in the future.

  1. If ever we need sites like The Public Record, The Hamiltonian and Raise the Hammer, it is now. These sites have earned my respect and it is sad to see Coleman drop off.

  2. Joey, I am really sorry. Politics got this far. Joey, truth prevails. Once privacy commissioner releases his decision you will be winner. I am willing contribute to your Legal funds. One can bluff only so long. Truth prevails at the end. Joey, be strong.....shekar

  3. Joey. You will be missed. I respect your work and I wish the city would stop spending money on citizen engagement. It is clear that they are not truly interested in that.
