Media Release: Eisenberger to host the Honourable Lieutenant Governor of Ontario

March 24, 2016 Hamilton, ON – Mayor Eisenberger is pleased to host the Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, to the City of Hamilton this afternoon.

Her Honour will be participating in a roundtable discussion with city staff and local youth leaders to learn about the initiatives relating to sustainability and youth engagement.

We invite all members of the media and public to join us at 3:30pm, City Hall 2nd Floor, for a Civic Reception where Her Honour will deliver brief remarks.

We welcome this opportunity to share with Her Honour how the City of Hamilton is driving forward through the lens of our renewed 25-year Community Vision. This is comprised of six themes born out of our community engagement piece - Our Future Hamilton: Communities in Conversation. Environmental sustainability holds significant weight and we are proud to be a City that has encouraged organizations to take a leadership role and operate in a sustainable manner.‎

Today’s roundtable highlights some of the work that is being done in our community to protect the environment and respond to the threat of climate change, while encouraging future leaders to lend their voice.
