Hamiltonian Hits

Here's a look at our monthly hits so far and where we project to be in November. Notes: The blog became active on Aug 14th, hence the smaller amount of hits in Aug.  September represents a full month of hits. October only goes as far as Oct 11, for obvious reasons. The  trajectory for November is based on anticipated volumes, based on hits to date.

Conclusion? Looking very good!!!

  4. Congrats Cal!
The popularity of your blog is due in part to its focus on issues that touch on City Hall. Keep it that way.You are filling a void.
Don't be distracted. Please come out with more thought and discussion provoking questions and issues. We need more debate in Hamilton. There are many mid-level city hall staffers that are fed up with Council and senior management. This is a place for them to share their frustration and knowledge.
Please do a report card on each Councillor so we can be specific rather than condemn or praise the entire Council.
    Thanks for this blog.

  6. By the way, The Sage...that was on my list of ideas to consider- so I am glad you mentioned it. I'll be pursuing it at some point.

    Thanks again

  7. Juice IT up and show your EXOUSIA!

Those numbers are encouraging Cal but I do not
place much credence in hit counts as a slide-
    rule of thumb.

After we remove the robots (search engines and
third party lackeys) and vulnerability scanners
(cracker jack hackers), then remove all hits on
images and scripts, we will find far less unique
    visitors making page requests.

Now I do not wish to be a party pooper. I make a
minimum of 1 page request per day and that jumps
to 3 or 4 if I post a comment. Cal's been up for
nearly 60 days and has had 47 posts. I have not
commented on every single one and neither has
each unique visitor. With the benefit of doubt
I can say that I am responsible for between
150 and 250 page hits in that time. At 200,
divided into 10,000, I can safely say IT
works out to no more than fifty unique
visitors at this site based solely on
    my own browsing habits.

Fifty is a fair amount of readers no
matter how we slice and dice IT. But
when we consider that only a dozen
of them leave comments we know
we have a long way to go.

    I'll stand by my assessment.
I have not seen any vote on
any poll here exceed 20. IT
    appears that nearly twice
    as many will vote than
    will have their say.

Thanks for sliding in our status Cal

Hey Cal, just watching the CFL football game right now. I'm calling it the "NHL Relocation Bowl" between Hamilton and Winnipeg.....winner of this football game gets te Phoenix Coyotes. LOL
